Intermittency-Volume Consumption is the electricity consumption during hours where the spot market price is lower than the short-term marginal cost of electricity production of the cheapest dispatchable electricity producer in the electricity market.

Intermittency-Volume Production is the electricity production during hours where the spot market price is higher than the short-term marginal cost of electricity production of the cheapest dispatchable electricity producer in the electricity market.
